Come and join our expanding team - We are looking for a CAM Programmer/Operator to join our growing business. You will work our milling section to produce high-quality metallic components on our 5-axis machines.
Key Responsibilities –
- Program components using Hypermill
- Set and Operate Hurco and Heidenhain CNC milling machines
- Inspecting components
- Liaise with production engineering team
- Manage workflow to optimize spindle time and automation equipment
- Prepare tooling and materials
- Finishing parts such as, tapping, deburring etc
- Maintain machines as required
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Requirements –
- Setting and operating CNC machine experience
- Machinery experience
- Hypemill CAD/CAM experience (other CAM system experience acceptable)
- Hurco Winmax control (preferred but not essential)
- Heidenhain control (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Basic inspection and GD&T skills
- Competent in component finishing
- Comfortable working to deadlines
- Follow all H&S regulations
- Must be hard working and able to work in a team or individually
- Ability to manage own workload and good time keeping
- Ability to run multiple machine centres
- Engineering qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Full UK driving Licence

- 38.5 hours per week, 7:30 - 4:15 Mon-Thur, 7:30 - 2:00 Fri

- Based on-site in Guildford, applicant MUST be able to commute.
Education:
- Engineering Apprenticeship (preferred)
